I had the most fantastic stay at a hotel in this city. The location was perfect, close to all the major sights and within walking distance to the river. The hotel facilities were top-notch, especially the pool area which, although small, was functional. The breakfast offered a wide variety of food and catered to both Asian and Western tastes. The staff at the hotel were friendly, professional, and attentive. The room was cleaned twice a day, and I loved the extra touch of a bookmark with quotes left on the bed each night.

Great location for exploring downtown and the market. Fabulous bed, big room, and nice toilet. Friendly staff, nice spa and swimming pool. Highly recommend this hotel.

The above says it all I think, and if I have the opportunity of another visit to Yangon will stay at Traders.

The service staff is excellent....nothing else is good about this horrific hotel.

I was food poisoned eating only at Traders cafes (confirmed by the hotel doctor). The place is under renovation so all day you hear constant banging. Truly unbearable. And, ;paying three times the rate of last time makes it even more intolerable. NEVER AGAIN!!! Save your money and go elsewhere.

Horizon club room with lounge access. Good breakfast and large, comfortable room. Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Great view and refreshing swimming pool. Well-located. Late check-out provided without extra charge.

The Hotel is clean with very good service. No bad smell from humidity as in some other very good hotels. In the hotel lobby the AC tempertor is good and it is not freezing as in few other 5 star hotels in Yangon. The servcie is excellent. Very recomended hotel.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and comfortable. Good spread of breakfast. Excellent location.

The staff only accepts brand new, crisp USD notes. A little fold or sign of old note is unacceptable. This is similar across the whole country and not unique to hotel. Travellers to Myanmar to take note.

At Sule Shangri-La, Yangon, we got great value for our money with top-notch facilities and well-trained staff. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the Sule Pagoda, and our corner room had a breathtaking view of the golden pagoda. The concierge service was excellent for arranging tours, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options. We were impressed with the colonial-style bar and the outstanding gym facilities. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made our stay truly enjoyable.

The location is about 100m from the Bogyoke market. The front staff is very helpfull and speak good english. The room is excellent.

The internet is slow especially during busy hours. The staff from the offices in the hotel would jam up the elevators during morning and evening rush hours.

Good service by staff who spoke good English. Rooms were clean and pretty (the refurbished ones). Food was good, breakfast spread was acceptable with a good variety of food.

The rooms on the 8th floor are apartments, these were a little dated.

The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a well-equipped gym and a clean and well-maintained health center. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. The location of the hotel was convenient, with a small mall attached and a good supermarket nearby. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, breakfast, and staff made my stay enjoyable.

Very central location. The rooms are nice and very comfortable. The house keeping and the staff at the reception were also very polite and helpful. Breakfast options are vast and cater to almost all types.. we stayed for 5 days and weren't tired of the breakfast spread. People say the hotel is expensive, its just a question of perspective. At about $200/night its x10 better than the dumps you get for a similar price in say EU cities like Paris or Rome.
